Let’s say for example that you have a Civic and Accord on. They are side-by-side and both are 4-bangers with the Civic having a first 8 liter engine and the Accord a 2 Second BTW both are automatics. What kind of mileage would each get highway? Does the Civic’s gas mileage really blow away that of an Accord? Which car in general is know to last longer?

Ford SVT Lightning: Cheaper to own up front, can work on equal to the Dodge truck, very little difference in gas mileage, cheaper to own but not as nice as dodge. Subaru WRX STI: cheaper gas by a little, not as usable as a truck, more expensive insurance, 4 wheel drive honda civic SI: cheapest up front and can use the saved money to work on car and equal Subaru but drive not 4 wheel, cheapest gas mileage and insurance. Not run as good as others in long.

1998 Honda Civic DX bad gas mileage?

The mileage is almost down by 40% Yes I do not drive this car after Aug 08, but do not service it regularly either, except for oil change. It is operated in a very cold winter now. The average can drop but not so much. What should be replaced? So, can anyone please give me approximate cost of replacing fuel filter, distributor cap rotor, etc., that usually is recommended for increasing fuel efficiency. Another symptom – the car feels heavy. The acceleration is heavy. I forgot to add – the car is currently running miles 65000th . the last major servicing was done at 50 000 and 55 000 mark when I replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the fuel system flushed and fluids.

What is the problem with my car? Perhaps my PCV Valve?

Two weeks ago I noticed that my car was having problems while in idle. It sounded like it was trying to die. My check engine light went on, I started to ask around, took and got it scanned and everyone told me that my oxygen sensor had gone bad (inluding the guy who performed the scan). I took my car to a friend, and we found that the PVC pipes had started going bad. We replaced them and cleaned out my PCV valve with carb cleaner. My car works great now, no more problems with it at idle or while driving, however, I’ve noticed that my gas mileage has gone down by about 90 miles per tank. Could it be the air filter? I just put a new one in only 4.000 miles ago. Maybe it needs to be cleaned? Is it my PCV Valve? Should I replace the entire thing? Or was it my oxygen sensor? I did not think they could affect how well the engine runs. Going through a little under a quarter tank a day has shot my checkbook.

Sometimes the speedometer comes on like once a month for only like 30 minutes then it shuts off again. . . . Whats the problem and how much will it cost to get it fixed. .
