An idea where i could get a harness for an 01 Cavalier?

  3. Johnnysshop says:

@henhoci Have to see what ya got going on, could be just about anything.

i wired my aftermaket stereo in my dodge durango 99, and i have no audio, can some body shine some light on this situation

  5. Johnnysshop says:

@BenPro2011 Depends. Usually the blue wire is for an external amp or antenna. What is the wire marked as?

  6. Johnnysshop says:

@Logindudeproductions No, I had to purchase that harness.

  7. Johnnysshop says:

@heartlessvietboy I agree. This is my kids car.

  8. BenPro2011 says:

Im having a problem with mine. :( My blue wire from my new stereo isn’t connected to anything, and thats what were guessing why there isn’t any sound. Everything else is working but no sound..any help?

  9. Logindudeproductions says:

did that black harness come with your new radio???? please help!!

  10. Logindudeproductions says:

does a harness come with the radio…

I’m old now. Decent factory speakers are good enough for me. I wouldn’t damage a premium Ford F-150 sound system. People go about damaging their entire interior, from carpet to door panels for Loud Sound. The worst, your Clean organized CD Player is now metal. Looks horrific.

  12. Johnnysshop says:

    @MrFullComposure Patriot is correct.

  13. PatriotRadioMilitia says:

@MrFullComposure you buy it , it plugs into the female factory plug , wall mart has em just pick you make

  14. MrFullComposure says:

Did you buy that vehicle harness or did you just take it off the old stereo?

  15. Johnnysshop says:

@i6live6for6this Yeah, or ground it on the chassis.

  16. i6live6for6this says:

do you just cut the ground wire to the same length as the other ones and connect it to the black wire on the connector?

  17. Angelboy863 says:

@Wantedsx2 yes, it was a blown fuse. i also spliced the power wire to my cigerette lighter switch so that when i turn off the car the radio turns off too.

  18. Wantedsx2 says:

@Angelboy863 i did the same thing. i dont have any power whatsoever. what did u do to fix it?

  19. JO3MORAL3S says:

If you have a chevy truck your stereo won’t turn in unless its hooked up to the ignition from your truck. Can someone show me how this is done?

  20. Johnnysshop says:

@Angelboy863 Sometimes the antenna does need to be plugged in. I’d have to see what you have going on to really diagnose.

  21. Johnnysshop says:

@Angelboy863 Have you checked the fuses?

  22. Angelboy863 says:

The radio just doesn’t turn on, hasn’t turned on whatsoever yet. does my ground not going to the chassis and instead the factory ground wire affect this? Does the antenna plug have to be plugged in in order for it to turn on?

I have a pioneer 1300mp and vehicle is 2000 Toyota sienna minivan.

  23. Angelboy863 says:

I’m really confused.. I originally didn’t buy a wiring harness so I tried splicing everything from new stereo to vehicle (with vehicle wiring diagram)that didn’t even work.. than I decided to buy harness and so I spliced the factory harness back and did everything you showed and my stereo still will not turn on?

  24. Johnnysshop says:

@mrbeefy971 You need to hook one on the wires (probably yellow) hooked to a source that shuts off with the ingnition. If it’s an import and you don’t know what wire to choose, the cig lighter is a good source.

  25. mrbeefy971 says:

My car stereo won’t turn on unless I have all the reds and yellows together and when I shut the car off the stereo will never turn off?
