I’m looking for a good, fast, luxury-ish car for a teenage boy?

Okay, I’m about to hit the sweet 16 and I’m ready for my first car. I do not know much about cars, but I know enough to figure that out for between 10 and 15 grand i can get a decent “some-what” luxury car that can hit the highways faster and stronger. Anyone know any kind of car i should keep my eye on? I’m not biased towards new or used, only nice. Haha. And I like definitiely gas mileage by the way, haha, if you can help, thanks a lot. Just a little info, I live in Nebraska, so we occasionally suffer from some snow, so i do not want something useless in the snow, however this does not mean i do not want a nice car, i can always clean it . So i do not go on a lot of road trips or anything, but still lot i want something solid under the hood that is not going to break down a. I know I’m asking for a gift from God here, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as i said, I do not know much of anything about cars. Thanks

I’m against first time drivers driving a turbocharged car, but you would like the Saab 9-2 as its a rebadged Impreza WRX with all of the Saab luxury. There is a turbo and non turbo version available. Turbo does 0-60 in 6 seconds, that should be quick enough.

I guess it depends on what you consider luxury and fast. Generally fast and good gas mileage don’t go together.

You can buy a great little used VW GTI for less than $10K that will be quick, fun and also include leather seats, a sunroof and a really nice factory stereo. Or you can buy a 3 series BMW for around $12k. Small cars don’t get much nicer than that. There is also the Lexus IS and even a Nissan Maxima, fine cars that are good performance vehicles that are fun to drive.

I would suggest you buy with your own money a 2004-5 honda accord, and drive that until you are 18-20….

An Accord is sturdy, so that you can bang into curbs, and run over bushes, and other things inexperienced drivers do…

you may be able to get a license when you are 16, but most people take 2-3 more years to learn to drive…

Nebraska? $10 – 15K Then you’d be looking at the 95 to 98 4 cylinder turbocharged john deere all wheel drive with shuttle shift. good in the snow, in the mud, in the dirt… an all around favorite and it really hauls…

I know they are a little out of your price range, but not by much, but these cars http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/ne-lincoln-subaru-impreza.html would be perfect, they are sporty, nice and have 4 wheel drive so they do great in the snow! My co-worker has one and he loves it! And I’m sure if you shop around some you will find one that is cheaper than the ones on the link I posted! Good luck!

i Think you shoud look at a Volvo c70 or S60, there fast safe luxury and desighned for rough winter weather in sweeden and europe they only cost about 8-15k for a 97-03 model they are also availeble in convertible and are smart on fule.
