Is it legal to drive somebody else’s car if you have their consent and permission to drive their car? I sometimes switch cars with my girlfriend cause her SUV (a 1999 Ford Expedition 4WD) gets mediocre gas mileage and my car (a 1989 Toyota Camry) gets great gas mileage and my girlfriend feels that if we switch cars she would save money on gas, my girlfriend knows I love her SUV. Would I get arrested if I get pulled over by a cop while I’m driving my girlfriend’s SUV?

yea you can drive someone elses car just make sure you have insurance
Yes…
Yes, you can drive someone else’s car.
YES it’s ok to drive a friends car as long as you know where the registration and insurance card are and everything is current. Be sure to be polite if the officer does ask why you’re not on the registration. The officer is bound to ask a few questions and your attitude will be what he looks for in determining the truth.

Agree with cynjin. Also, you can both add each other to your auto insurance policies, so that things go as smoothly as possible if anything happens.
Yes. The only reason you would need extra coverage through her insurance would be to cover an accident. And vice versa for her. I believe its called uninsured motorist coverage. I can’t be specific because I just don’t know the laws in your state.
No it is not illegal as long as you have their permission
