Hi everyone. I’m 16, I live in NJ (Provisional License at 17) and I want a good car. My mom wants to give me a 1990 Buick Regal Custom, but I do not want that, because one transmission is going to need to be fixed soon, is slow, it’s ugly, and paint is chipping so. I want a reliable, good gas mileage and car, that is a sedan (car insurance), but can be riced out a little and look pretty nice, like a honda civic with tints, rims, and body kit, and exhaust. What’s a good car for me, for maybe 4.000 to 8.000, if you’re wondering how I’m gunna get the money, got a 72 chevelle ss (402 390 hp matching numbers), left to me by my dad when he passed, but my mom is selling it. . . . thanks72 chevelle ss is an old man’s car, but it’ll wreck any ricer quiet out there. I would pull mad bi * t * hes in that. And I am considering a Hyundai Sonata like an 02-car 06ricer = OD (over done) and it’ll be slightly riced out, but it will be fast, so. .

consider a Hyundai product.
The 1990 Buick Regal Custom, sound ideal. It’s has virtually no value, so if you make a mistake while you learn to drive (which is different from knowing how to drive) no big loss. Right?
Learn to drive in the buick then in a year or two get yourself nice car. BTW:72 chevelle ss is an old mans car.
Edit: Hey, I didn’t say the SS wasn’t a powerful car. But if you think a stock 40 year muscle car stands a chance against any modern car except in straight line performance you’ve been watching to much tv. skippy.
Maybe a Corolla. Its small good gas and not very expensive.
I’d help you out, but you’re going to rice it out. I wouldn’t want any of my favorite cars to look like that. It would be a much better financial decision anyway to keep the Chevelle. SS. You could spend that 4-8k on it, and make it something special. Not to mention the value it already has since it’s viewed as such a classic.
You do know “ricing” is a bad thing, right? xD
Anyways i wouldn’t go for a Civic or a Corolla, they’re always overpriced. Hyundais aren’t all that reliable and actually cost quite a lot to repair.
Personally i’d look for a early 2000s Ford Focus. Since they were designed for the European market, they’re much faster and handle much better then any other car in their class. They’re also pretty reliable, one of my neighbors has over 200k miles on his.
